Family Photography Anna Maria Island

We Love Anna Maria Island was founded to provide locals and tourists staying on AMI with professional photography and full service video production to capture their special time on the island. Click on Contact Us to discuss your photography needs/project.
What is our favorite style of photography? It is hard for us to answer this question because we LOVE capturing on film not only family vacations but also couples showing their love for each other and locals

Photography for families staying on Anna Maria Island

Favorite Spots to photograph couples, families and locals:

1. Bean Point
If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate setting look no further than Bean Point. This beach, located at the very tip of the island, is a hidden gem and features powder-soft white sand, sweeping views of Tampa Bay (and the iconic Sunshine Skyway bridge), and a unobtrusive, relaxed atmosphere that can be hard find on most public beaches.

2. Rod and Reel Pier

The Rod and Reel Pier is a one of Anna Maria Islands hidden treasure dining experiences. Tucked away on the far North end of Anna Maria, it is a “Little Bit of Old Florida” serving traditional fare, local favorites and famous fish specials since 1947. The Rod & Reel Pier is a two story, newly renovated restaurant, directly out on the Gulf of Mexico. Casual Dining for the whole family to enjoy up stairs either seated inside or out on its quaint covered outside deck gives a one a true Old Florida experience. The downstairs is a casual unique bar, serving beer and wine. A island favorite too many locals and travelers for years.

3. Anna Maria City Jail
The back of the card reads, “At least you don’t “feel” locked in on Anna Maria Island.” The jail was first built in 1927. It was used to contain rowdy bar patrons on the island until 1940 when a fire burned the wooden parts of the jail including the roof and cells. This is now the location of the Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum and is a popular tourist destination and photo opportunity. This postcard was donated to the library by Cortez resident Willis Arnold.

4. Pine Avenue
Known as “The Greenest little Main Street in America”, Pine Avenue offers guest services for visitors and property owners, shabby chic furniture, hair dresser, the top two rated boutiques in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, a Podiatrist, Olive Oil and gourmet food items, Children’s crafts and gifts, an Art Gallery, a doggie spa and a outdoor gear store that carries fly fishing equipment on the island.
